Bright Reach is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. This sets out how we protect your personal information, your rights in relation to it, and how we collect, use and disclose it.

How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you wherever possible. We may also collect it from a family member, advocate, doctor, or other service provider, with your consent, or where required by law. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, though this may affect our ability to provide services to you.
Why we collect it
To provide support services, and to enable other practitioners involved in your care to do so.
Who we may share it with
We may disclose your personal and health information, for the purpose of your care, to service providers assisting with your support, medical practitioners, hospitals, the NDIS, and other relevant government bodies, or to a nominated advocate or emergency contact. We will not use or disclose your information for any other purpose unless you've consented, the law requires it, or it's necessary to prevent a serious threat to health or safety.
We will not disclose your personal information to an overseas recipient, except for general enquiries submitted through our website, which may be processed by our website hosting provider.
Security of your information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information we hold against misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Information is held in secure electronic systems and secure physical storage, accessible only to authorised staff.
Accessing and correcting your information
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, and to request corrections. Contact us to do so, we'll respond within seven (7) days, and may ask you to verify your identity first.
Data breaches
If a data breach occurs that's likely to cause serious harm, we'll notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches Scheme.
Privacy complaints
Any privacy complaint will be treated seriously, promptly, and confidentially, through our complaints process. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544, or the OAIC.
